Ullambana Festival

A month to remember and repay the kindness of your loved ones.

In the Buddhist tradition, we remember the kindness of our loved ones whom have departed and also those who are still alive through prayer. The tradition of Ullambana dates back to the time of Lord Buddha who taught his disciple Maudgalyayana how to make offerings to the Sangha and dedicate it to his mother who was suffering in the spirit realm. Making such offerings enabled the mother to be released from the bondage of her negative karma.

In the spirit of making offerings during the month of Ullambana, Modern Buddhist Fellowship will be conducting three special pujas to make offerings to the Three Jewels, dedicating the merits for those whom we love. We invite you to be part of this auspicious event through making offerings as a gift for your loved ones.
